Sulcata Tortoise "pumping legs"?

My hatchling sulcata kinda pushes his legs up and down and I was wondering what this was? It's noticible on grass because you can see the grass moving. He's not actually walking though. He does walk, eat and act normal so I'm not really concerned. Just curious.

If your temperatures are up where they should be day and night, then your tortoise is probably fine.

If your temperatures are up where they should be day and night, then your tortoise is probably fine.

Yeah I wasn't worried anything was wrong with him. I just didn't know what he was doing haha.

I posted his enclosure when I got him a week ago. A couple people said it was too small but most people said it's perfect for him right now. His temps are good and his substrate holds humidity well. Plus it's humid in the room that he's in anyway.

Sometimes I see my tortoises pumping in the bath, quickly followed by their release of poop!
