Hi Leigh, and welcome to the Forum!!

There's nothing you can do to remove the food stains from a tortoise's mouth. Also, at one year, your baby should still be getting once-a-day soaks.

Hello and welcome. Stains around the mouth are pretty normal. If your tortoise doesn't mind to much you can try gently using a soft bristled tooth bush during soak to carefully wipe it away, but it might not work.

I've done this with all my sullies...they have ALWAYS been receptive! I'll start the ITs on this routine...once they hit six months!

I purchased an infant/baby tooth brush.. it is really, really soft and the heads are super small, so they are a little easier to get into tight spaces.
