Heya everyone

Here are two pics of Tallula's enclosure that my fiance and I built for her ! We are going to get a UVB light and a basking lamp tomorrow evening after work for her :)

I just wanted to check if you think this is alright for her size? I'm not even sure how old she is, the pet shop guy said she was 2yrs old, but then again he also said all I need to do is feed her lettuce only and he said she is a HE when in fact, she is a she :) So I'm not sure if he knows ANYTHING lol

Any comments/advice will be greatly appreciated

Aw thanks a bunch Isa :)
She seems very happy in it! We loved building it for her, and hope that she stays happy in it ! She is a seriously adventurous little girl, loves pushing herself (almost jumping) off the top of her log hide, she makes me laugh so much, not one shy streak in this baby at all :p I must admit she totally demolished those two petunia bushes in the corner, haha, they are but nothing now LOL !

I love the idea of turning a clay pot on its side for a little nook to crawl into.

The enclosure is pretty sweet.

I love to see enclosures where they have a second story to climb to. It's hard to see in the picture, but I take it that the wall is high enough that she couldn't climb over and fall right? She looks so happy to have all that space and I love the plants that you put in there. Candy

Thanks a mill Candy !:D
She loves her enclosure, it's quite funny how every night, when it's our bedtime, she goes up to her 2nd story and goes to sleep, either in between the clay pot and the wall, or in the pot,or in the hide, but she always always goes "to bed" upstairs hehehe TOO CUTE! Yup, don't you worry, she can't fall off :) She is definitely happy with all the space, she is eating properly and very active. The plants are definitely cool, but those two petunia's have been demolished LOL, she loved chomping on the them. And she loves using the rosemary bush as a climbing tool, I found her sitting almost in the middle of it the other day, must have been a monkey in her past life heehee. :p

Stace, Tallula has a very nice looking and fun enclosure. She looks very bright eyed and healthy. Sounds like she is the perfect match for you. Congratulations and welcome to Greek ownership. Or mybe its the Greeks that own us :p Oh and welcome to the forum to both you and Tallula.

LOL I laughed so much when I read your post, you are soooo right by saying that it's the Greek that owns us, not us owning the Greek haha. Thank you so much, I really appreciate the wonderful welcome & that you like her enclosure! Hehe. She really does seem to be bright eyed and healthy, she is full of beans really. Every evening I take her out and lie down on my bed and have a 5minute bonding session with her, I put her on my tummy and she just sits there and watches me. I talk to her and it looks like she's listening. And also give her a head scratch/tickle. She is definitely not a shy little one :) I want to measure her tonight so that I can get a guesstimate of her age, the petshop said she was 2yrs old or so, but they also told me she was a he haha. My man and I are first time tort parents, but are already addicted to Tallula :D

Your tort will love the 2nd story tortoisenerd....I even find Tallula sleeping on her ramp !! And she loves to rearrange her "furniture" on the 2nd floor too. Thanks :D

What is the substrate you have used, is is the coconut fiber?

Lovely little home for your baby!

Thanks so much Sudhira :) She's very happy with it !!!! I use organic soil actually, easily bought from a garden centre. Very good for burrowing, keeps for much longer and and also good to keep humidity.
