What basking temps can a leopard tortoises handle? i got a new MVB bulb for my leopard tortoise and its 101F in the center of the light where its hitting the ground.. Is it too hot? I read they can have 100F basking temps, but wondering if i should get a dimmer for it.

You should not use a dimmer with a MVB bulb due to the bulb type (it will get damaged). Hopefully someone else can help you with the actual temperature as I am not familiar with Leopards. Do you have space to raise the bulb a little if you wanted to? Also, make sure you read the packaging and make sure you are at least the minimum distance away from the substrate so your tort does not get too much UVB exposure.

Your tortoise will adjust himself with the temps. He will move in and out of the light/warmth
