I would do the 10 inch if it were me. A 4x4 isn't that big for three Russians. Unless they are babies.

If you can go with the larger diameter do it … this will allow for a soaking dish as well. If the rim of your saucer is too tall, simply bury it , while keeping ½” exposed on your surface level or use rock , clay, soil and built a ramp up to the edge of the dish . :shy:

A nice lil' trick to help keep the water clean ....take some Mexican River Rock or lava rock and once your dish is place , make a surround of rock 4" out from your dish. This will give the torts a "walk off mat" without dragging other substrate debris into your water. * The important thing to remember ....use stone large enough to where your tort will not be attracted to it and try ingesting it .
