Anybody in the US or abroad working with these? With their little yellow heads, I don't think I have seen a cuter tortoise.

French keepers are the most familiar with them, lots of Tunisians arrive illegally to France and some reach expert hands and get legal status; Frenchies are very careful with the legal aspect, although it is quite hard sometimes.
British are right next, since they too had access to Nabeulensis.

It is maybe cute, but very sensitive to moisture. Quite difficult in their opinion, and already endangered by CRAZY overcollecting for decades and still counting, as all North-African Testudo... better stick with hardier, more available and less endangered things- Ibera is a tank, if you prefer the Graeca group. Also quite available as CB, lots of satisfaction keeping them.
