Spot (the male) cracks me up. He's the most docile male I've ever seen in any tortoise. He doesn't ram, chase down or stare the females in the eyes while chasing them like the other typical males do. He just slowly ghosts behind them and then mounts. Pretty funny.image.jpg

Yeah she is huge. 18" SCL and whopping 29 pounds. She laid a 17 egg clutch yesterday too. I think she's at her prime. Her record was 12 last year.

He's 13". Had him for 14 years. I suspect some pardalis in her. Eggs take 10 months to incubate, not all of them but some hatch 4-5 months after others in same clutch. And she's very big and super spotty. The one in the back is almost 20" she's deformed though so doesn't dome

Thanks Maggie. I love working on them. I need to take some pics of all the new ones I've been working on this spring. It's raining right now so not the best day for it.
