I wrote this a couple years ago for one of my FB groups and thought I'd share it with my TFO family. Hope everyone has a great Christmas!!!
‘Twas the night before Christmas
The house decked out with pride
My Ghost was brought in
Was too cold outside
He lay near the hearth
And was out like a light
Everything was so peaceful
And we wished him good night.
At three in the morning
We awoke to a clatter
We sprang from our bed
To investigate the matter
The house was a wreck
Décor strewn all around
The tree was knocked down
We just stood there and frowned
The ornaments were shattered
The presents destroyed
The manger knocked over
I was so damned annoyed
There were holes in the walls
That were not there before
And tinsel was scattered
All over the floor
Had we been robbed?
Did someone break in?
What kind of devil
Could have committed this sin?
Then off in the corner
Where the Christmas tree fell
My Ghost soon emerged
And we started to yell
He seemed so content
With all he had done
With a 10 mile-wide grin
Having way too much fun
That’s the end of my story
No more to report

Of a mischievous tort
