For what seems like the hundredth time I am again having to replace all of my incubator thermometer/hygrometers. I figure this time I'll see if there are any that people have found particularly resilient? All of the digital ones I have tried fail after 2-3 months (display typically goes out). I'm thinking of perhaps trying the non-eletronic ones, since I'm thinking the moisture/condensation forming on them is likely the reason for their failure.

Pete. I've used my battery operated model from Home Depot in a very humid closed chamber for about one and a half years. It's all un plugged now and I'm converting into a hatchery/nursery.(Just in case) But the gauge is still in there and still working like a champ.
Maybe you could better seal the next one? Is yours battery or corded?

I've been using the Accurite models and they last a couple of years in my closed chambers.
