So I was candling my box turtle eggs today and I noticed that the shell on one of them is really thin in one area at the top and there seems to be an small area that is a little bit bumpy. What is this.
My eggs are almost 60 days old. When I candle them the embryo takes up 1/3 of the egg or sometimes almost all of it depending on which way I have the light. I have them at about 84 degrees and 83% humidity in a reptile incubator.
Any thoughts? Thank-you
Does this happen when the eggs are close to hatching??
