In doors idealy as I live in the uk so it's pretty cold here! I'm ideally looking for something small to replace a fish tank that we had.

I think you should do research and see what is your preference. Find out which species are avaliable in your area. I did months of daily research before I decided to purchase my RESes. And also because they are the only species allowed in my country, and is so so common.
