It just dawned on me the other day that my outdoor storage bin for my kids stuff would seemingly make a good enclosure for young tortoises if done right. With a few drilled holes and installed lights I think it could turn out quite nice. Plus it's fairly inexpensive .
Any thoughts on any pros or possibly cons for converting this?ImageUploadedByTortForum1394597267.730156.jpgImageUploadedByTortForum1394597283.678859.jpg

I saw one in our ACE hardware, and thought the same thing.

The sides are high enough to accommodate a light bar across the top.

A doorway and a light---sounds like a good idea for moderate temps...

Hey, perhaps I am just letting the OCD get to me :)P) but I would wonder what type of air quality would be inside the enclosed area being that the material is a plastic product?????

agreed. Sometimes people would come back from shows with dead herps bc they left the carriers in the sun. :( It gets hot FAST. Perhaps paint it?

It would be keep in my shed so the color wouldn't matter. This isn't for any outside purpose
