Thinking of converting this ...

It just dawned on me the other day that my outdoor storage bin for my kids stuff would seemingly make a good enclosure for young tortoises if done right. With a few drilled holes and installed lights I think it could turn out quite nice. Plus it's fairly inexpensive .
Any thoughts on any pros or possibly cons for converting this?

I saw one in our ACE hardware, and thought the same thing.

The sides are high enough to accommodate a light bar across the top.

agreed. Sometimes people would come back from shows with dead herps bc they left the carriers in the sun. It gets hot FAST. Perhaps paint it?

It would be keep in my shed so the color wouldn't matter. This isn't for any outside purpose
