Wanted to see if you all had any opinion on the lighter color on his head. The large patch has always been there (though i think it has gotten slightly larger in the last 6 years). The bit in the front just showed up after a scale peeled. I don't think it's anything but figured I'd ask just in case.

It doesn't look like a problem, but your tortoise looks a bit dry overall. Do you soak it at all?
If not, I would suggest soaking it in lukewarm water at least 2-3 times weekly for about 30 minutes per soak.
Yeah he's due for a soak. His water "bowl" is big enough for him to walk around in so he is able to if he wants, but i do force him to fairly often.
