Hey Ppl,
Went to my local nursery today and found something I couldn't resist. I don't have a tortoise yet, but bought this for the near future. My wife thinks I am crazy.

Put it into the biggest pot you can fit onto your porch and watch how fast it multiplies! :)

You might as well start planting food if you plan to get a tort.

Thanks for the nice comments,
Curious how often should I water it? The person from the nursery told me once a week, that sounds about right?

It is a smart person who starts the plants BEFORE getting the tortoises.

Make sure that it has EXCELLENT drainage or it'll get root rot. Water it no more than once a week.

Yes, they really need to dry out between waterings. Make sure the soil has a fair amount of sand mixed in for drainage. Perhaps a few rocks or packing peanuts or foam at the bottom too.
Nice find!

Great find! As the others have said, good drainage and letting things dry out between waterings is key. I have been watering mine about every week and a half and they seem to have been doing great so far :)
