Thats awesome, i love the sight barriers. I was just thinking how i wanted to do something like that, i would imagine that it seems much bigger to them when they are exploring different "areas".

I posted a reply to your thread a couple hours ago, and now I see that it has disappeared.

What I said was, I really like what you've done. By putting in all the little fences that go nowhere, you've doubled or tripled the actual space that the tortoise has. Since they make visual barriers, the tortoise now has to do more walking to see what's on the other side of his habitat. Its a very pleasing-looking and interesting-for-the-tortoises habitat. Good job!!

I used photobucket for this. Edit pictures to add writing.

Thanks for all the kind comments. Only thing i have to be careful with the walls is that they did used to try to climb them rather than go around. So if anyone is thinking of doing the same sort of thing make sure there high enough so as the torts dont even think about climbing them.

Ive made it easier for them now to go over the plant pot. It works well and the soil dont slide off of it so much :D

awesome table.
do you use a liner?
are the movable walls just sitting on top of the substrate or are they on bases which are buried? I think if I put something like that in with my tort, they'd be getting knocked over lol.

I havent got a liner in there, its a kitchen work top so its easy to clean.

Yes i can move the walls around there just restin on the top of the soil. I do need to make them higher soon as they will start to try and go over them rather than around them.
