So as I stated before, I will be moving to Texas in a few weeks. What is the best way to transport my star? My boyfriend will still be living in Alabama for a month or so. It’s about a 12 hour drive. We will be renting tow UHals 1) for when I move and 2) when he moves- but also taking our cars. I will be bringing th star with me and the smart enclosure should be here before the boyfriend leaves for TX.

smart enclosure in uhual with me?

What’s best way for the star??

Opinions appreciated!!!!

Thank you!!!

Happy Birthday
Put them in a tote box with some substrate and a lid on the tote. If you stay over night on your way, take them in the hotel with you, take the top off and give some water and a warm soak. Clean any poop out of box. Next day do the same. Feed them when you get to your place in Texas.
Take the enclosure with you but I wouldn't transport them in it.

Happy Birthday !!!!!

@wellington gave you great info and advice I would only add pay attention to temperatures. You may even add a digital thermometer to assist you in understanding 'what' the temps are, it's getting cold.

When I moved, I had my Russian in a plastic tote inside a cooler. This was to hold the temperatures steady (=warm) and to keep him dark. This set up made him sleep pretty much the whole way through, and I think it made it less stressful for him compared to having visual stimulation.
