Here is a video that I am particularly proud of. This is the first of what I hope will be many videos detailing trips out into the field with citizen scientists like Arick Barsch, the gentleman you'll see here, whom is representing the Turtle Conservation Project of Connecticut. This video shows a trip that Arick and I took yesterday, as he explains details pertaining to the Spotted Turtle's situation in CT, and you get to see the best part of the trip, WILD SPOTTED TURTLES!

I always enjoy seeing your video's....very interesting. Here in NY we always used to see the Spotted turtles. There are so many ponds around here. But I haven't seen any in years. Now we only see Eastern Painted and Red Ears in the local ponds. We also see lots of Diamond Backs in brackish waters where the bigger pond empties into the bay.
Great video....brought back some good memories.

Thanks guys! Arick uses a small file to mark a margin scute.

The female in the video was a new animal to his study, so he gave her a notch while I was there. Relatively uneventful and quick.
