Just curious. Has anybody tried training their tortoise? Not sure what you would train them to do, but has anybody had success?

all of my guys and gals lay down, stand up, wiggle their tail....just not when I want them toLOL
I did read and article about a CDT that was trained to step up on a ramp, that ramp was set up to open a gate, once open the tortoise could enter and eat and the gate would close once it sensed the motion back down the ramp....kinda fun![]()

He used to live in a shed that was on one side of the house, while his outside yard was on the opposite side. So every morning, she would open his door, and tip the garden cart down. He'd climb into it and she'd wheel him around to his yard. In the evening, she'd put the cart in front of him and he'd climb into it for the trip back to the shed. She has since moved his shed to the other side, so the garden cart is no longer necessary...and he's too big for it anyway.
