Hi, I'm new around here and I wanted to introduce myself, also I wanted to thank you all for the info, there is a lot of great stuff here . So here is a picture of turbo, he was painted in by a 3 year old with nail polish but is otherwise healthy and very active. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1413932738.500058.jpg

Wow. Never seen one painted with nail polish. It will be interesting to see how that turns out. Should wear / chip off as shell grows :). You defiantly can't mistake that
one !

Yeah, Turbo definitely won't get confused for a different turtle anytime soon and I'm also wondering if the shell color will be affected by it, hopefully it won't but I'll keep posting pictures as it wears off and we will see how it end up.

Welcome!!I recently found a bright blue spray painted Gopher tortoise in a gas station parking lot. He was also pretty banged up in general. I gave him a quick scuff with a "Scotch brite" pad so he wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb and released him far from houses out by the "glades".

It's crazy that someone would paint a wild animal. At least this one is a pet and the toddler that painted him just wanted to make him look like Turbo from the movie but to paint a wild one is just cruel.
