Hello! Today two tortoise hatched and I noticed some "malformation" in both of its plastron, one is a umbilical scar but the second one has a more severe malformation. I love reptiles but I am new with tortoises, can someone guide me on how I can take care of this? I am worried that he will not survive, I Will wash them and apply neosporin.TortoiseHatchling.jpg

~ Not a scar, nice warm soaking to clean it, put one thin coating of neosporin on once it dries and it should simply absorb and the plastron should heal fine. This is normal and typical, it was removed from the egg too soon.
