Maggie took Bob to the emergency vet hospital last night because he wasn't coming out of the anesthesia. She just now called me to say that Bob died.

She is absolutely devastated, as you all might imagine. I know when I had to euthanize my treasured indoor cat I wanted to let people know, however, I really didn't want any sympathies, so I understand. It hurts terribly to lose the well-loved pet, but that hurt seems to be intensified when people offer condolences. She wanted you all to know, and I'm sure when she feels better able to handle it, she'll give you all the info about it.
