Hi
I thought I would give an update on my little Russian tortoise wet nose after his second check up.
The reptile vet is at a loss as to why his nose can occasionally bet wet in the mornings. The 2 vets can’t see anything wrong with his eyes, mouth nose to suggest starting antibiotics which I was relieved about
He’s around 14 months and from reading on here anti biotics should only be used when a respiratory infection is certain. So I’m glad the vet feel the same. Basically they said they would only go down that route if he suddenly became very lethargic or stopped eating. I’m guessing that would be agreed on here
I have been experimenting with keeping him hot at night which is where I think something goes wrong even tho it’s 20 at night. Now it’s 30
He seems to be getting better slowly.
