Yes, it's one of my babies' favorites. Only the one I have here is in tiny pellets almost flakes form which i can just sprinkle dry on top of their fresh chopped greens and produce. It's a perfect bite size for baby tort and my Tucker adores those! You will need to soften those by pouring warm water over them and let them soak it up till they are nice and soft

Yes! Got that one too! and this one and this one and this one and this one and this one and this one. I add a small amt of those to daily morning feeding instead of using calcium powder. I use cuttle bone instead and my "kids" do use it at times. I rotate the pelleted food brands daily, as I do their fresh food. My goal is feeding them a "rainbow" - just as wide variety as possible within their species diet

In fact, if you PM me,(I'm unable to pm @GingerLove) I'd be happy to send you some in a zip lock bag. I have about 90 pounds of it right now.
Red label, original Mazuri is the only pellet food I ever use.

This is their least favorite brand. I add very little of it to the fresh food and it took me forever to finish that jar. I will not be buying it again for mine. I had to mix it really well with something that they liked (finely chopped fruit or mushrooms) to get them to eat it.

Thanks, Ed! I plan on making my "pilgrimage" to your Davie feed store and get my "red label" and yes, will def. want them to try it. It seemed that they would devour Mazuri back from the sample that the breeder sent me with my babies, then the LS kind.... they eat but not as passionately. these tiny colorful pellets are their absolute FAVORITE! They are perfect bite size for them and flat, I laugh that these are like chips that I add to their meal. These are the only ones I don't soak. this is Tucker's second favorite, but these are thicker and I do soak them, they take fairy hot water to soften and take a while to do that then just recently I found these, very small pellets. I will try to put some dry down and see what happens

i also recently found these at Petsmart in different part of town and these, they are bout small but rounded so i do soak them and this one which is is a bigger version of the small round "colorful tort chips", these are round as well, so ... yes- soaking them. these are my "tortie chips". and then there is of course Mazuri LS! this is what i use for cleaning of the glass inside the tank just recently found that. Have not tried using on their stuff yet. . Then this this for their water this is one of the favorite treats! Omg! They love these tiny shrimps! They come out of their hides as soon as I open the bagthese are little too dense for my taste. Wouldn't risk using them on tiny baby torts due to choking risk. Mine recently started eating them. They love them almost as much as their freeze dried shrimp another dechlorinator. Hope this helps

Does it get old? It would safe me money overall, you're right! It just seems like 25 pounds might be a lot for a 11/2 pound tortoise. Where do you buy yours from @ZEROPILOT

It is a little pricey but 90% of the 25 lb bag would go bad before I got to use it unfortunately. I purchased the first 18 oz bag back in December and I'll be out by the end of next month and it expires this coming November. Hope this helps, it is the big pellets too, not the small diet or small LS..I tried both of those and didn't have any luck.
