Caught Hercules bobbing his head up and down when I got home. Why is he doing this? Is it normal? I soaked him, fed him and cleaned his enclosure. He slept a lot yesterday, not as much today though last time I checked on him he was about to start borrowing to go to sleep.
Here are the cutest tongue pics I got:

Love this guy already, and I really want the best for him :)

Location (City and/or State)
Beaumont, CA.
I would just keep an eye on him.
Make sure he is not making any breathing noises, blowing bubbles from his nose and does not have drainage from his eyes.
It could be nothing.

He is cute!

Head bobbing can be used to establish communication between tortoises. I often see head bobbing when a male sees one of the females and feels the need to show his interest or when a male see another male the head bobbing is a means of saying I am the boss.

So, as you already knew the tortoise rules the house! :)
