From what I’ve read, many people do not provide water for their Uromastxy. Or even must the enclosure. I have provided mine with a homemade humid hide and he laps the water off the walls like a dog licking a bowl.
Would it hurt to provide a water dish? I’m more concerned because of all the outdated practices I’ve come across with different reptiles. Just want to give mine the best life possible.

I never give mine water. I did for about a month but never seen him drink. I had asked many years ago when I found this forum if it was true they don't need water. I dont believe they are suppose to have a humid environment either, mine doesn't. I think they get enough water from the greens when fed them. I do soak mine when he is shedding but never seen him want to drink.
I doubt it would hurt as long as it's not a big bowl adding lots of humidity.
