It is deffinitely one of the Gopherus species of tortoise, but without seeing the whole tortoise I'm not sure. Are you in Florida? It sort of reminds me of the Florida gopher tortoise.

Looks more Mediterranean to me. Greek or Hermanns but I really cant tell from the pic. The carapace is not one color as would be expected from a Gopherus species.

I agree with Anja looks like a Greek to me. We need more pics one from the top one of the belly and one of the back end, please.

thank you just it was found in a car park im from england and want to care for it as best i can im doing alot of reseach but with out knowing what t
type it is it is hard but thank you will post some more pics soon and keep you all informed and will most likely be asking for more advice

It was the size of the head Robyn and Tiago. Males have a larger head. It works with T.g.ibera, but not very well with the Middle eastern subspecies.
