What substrate should I use

I am going shopping for my baby red footed tortoise that is coming in tomorrow and I am wondering which substrate I should use. He is going to have an indoor enclosure if that changes anything.

I personally like to use peat moss;

When you first try to moisten this material it is a slow tough slow slow, did I say slow process---lol---the material is highly water retentive, so the first time priming the material to absorb the water takes awhile, but once it has--each time you wet your selected areas it takes the water right in, quickly....
