I like the Hermann's better. They get a little bigger and I find them more attractive. I like their head shape better and they frequently have darker shades on their heads and necks. Plus I've heard they are a bit more personable.

All of this is totally second hand as I have very little personal experience with either.

My Hermanni female is beautiful with a beige and black carapace and a very friendly outgoing personality. She is a very easy keeper and I always figured that after Bob went to live somewhere else I would create a colony of Hermanni...

I guess I should have read the thread first. I thought it was one of those "what would you rather get" so I chose greek. That's learn me!

I prefer greek (the tortoise) or hermanns but I have to admit that maggies hermanns is beautiful far more colorful than most I have seen maybe I will change my mind and want to own both, but greek first I think.

In real life I picked Hermanns, but that was before I saw pics of Golden Greeks. I'm looking for a "both" choice!
