Wood enclosure finish

Hey guys I just finished building my wood enclosure for my Russian. I was looking into finishing the wood with mineral oil since it is safe for cutting boards and stuff like that. Does anyone have any experience doing this. I want to finish it but I don’t want to wait weeks for stain to dry

It should be fine as it will be absorbed into the wood. What type of wood did you use?
