I will root for the U.S. until we get knocked out, then I will root for England because Liverpool is my life and my daughter's going to marry Steven Gerrard someday.

Both John Stewart and Steven Colbert had some funny segments on American ignorance of football tonight...still, we are coming along, and with a population as sports-crazy and consumer-oriented as the United States, no sport promoters can afford to ignore us! Hahaha...I don't need any encouragement to watch and love The Beautiful Game.

I feel like I should have been coming to this forum my whole life. You guys cover all the things I like soccer and tortoises haha. I have been watching footy since I was very young, following Arsenal in the EPL and of course the U.S. I am so excited at our best chance to win a World Cup ever, and it will be even sweeter if Mexico get smoked tomorrow!
