Wise words of the day, from the wisest 5 year old I know.

This morning, I witnessed Tank trying very hard to scoop almost-dry mud onto his back.
So, being the wonderful  person I am, I grabbed my hat and went to work.
I dug him a bigger, better, deeper mud wallow.

Then I helped dump some fresh mud on him. 1399147459622.jpg
Happy, happy Tank!

A while later, while watching the big ol' tortoise play, a thought hit me:
"If a big tortoise likes mud, imagine how much a little tortoise would like it!"

And thus came along this picture: 1399147625267.jpg

The end product was three happy 'catas and a whole lot of mud.

To all the TFO'ers going through this heat wave, grab a cold drink and kick back.

Shhhh.... I think he's dreaming!

I just think it's funny, he assumes the basking position, legs back, puts his head out high looking at the sky closes his eyes and it's raining for pete's sake. Maybe that's wishful posing...:)

Hey, trust me, I don't mind! ;) He's so awesome!
My mud wallow/pit/hole dried up. Because my darn sprinklers caked with dirt and BAM. 103° day, no more water.

Mike, you should've seen me "dragging" Tank to his soaking tray the other day.
Soooooo not cool. He won't go into the water unless there's a ) food in it or b ) he is forcefully pushed.
He's as stubborn as I am, but of course, the one with thumbs wins! Haha.

Harry just walks around and around . Then he's like man its time for a soak . Then walks on in . Then he will stand as high as he can ...... then I guess he starts washing his monster . If you know what i'm talking about . Then thats the time for me to go turn on the red foots misting system . So Harry can finish what ever he's doing in private . Sulcatas have no shame in their game . Ha ha
