Question Regarding Search Feature

I noticed when I try to do a search on a topic that consists of more than one word, I don't get the results I am looking for.

For example, when doing a search for 'Florida Box Turtle' the results are just posts that contain the single word 'Florida', 'Box' or 'Turtle'. The list consists of posts that just mention the state of Florida, the use of night boxes, all that include word 'turtle', etc.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the single word search is all that is available (which would be unfortunate).

Thanks!

I love our forum, but...

I'm very disappointed in the search feature. Personally, I have much better luck asking my friend Google. In the search box on Google I'll type: Tortoise Forum - Experiments. (or whatever). The results are much more satisfactory than the forum's search.

Thank you for responding Yvonne. I like searching the forum using Google too.
One of the things I like about searching directly on the forum is the ability to do it under a specific topic. I found that by adding quotation marks to my searches (such as "Florida Box Turtle"), and by performing that search under a particular topic (such as 'Redfoot and Yellowfoot Tortoises'), I can really reduce the number of irrelevant results that I get.
