So I have heard that feeding a red foot chicken or shrimp is good for the protein that they need. I just want to make sure I’m doing this right. Does the chicken or shrimp need to be raw or boiled? And are there any other meats that are good to feed them?

I feed my Redfoot protein about once a week. I do cooked chicken, Earthworms, scrambled eggs, and occasionally low fat cat food.

This is a highly debated topic. You'll find lots of opinions. I subscribe to the variety is best theory. Animal protein every week or two is fine. If you're going with chicken or shrimp, I would cook it to be safe.

Ditto. Boil the shrimp or chicken in plain water.
The offering of these food items is a fine idea if in moderation.

Depends upon what species of tortoise it is. Grass eating tortoises like sulcata and desert tortoises don't eat meat. Greek and Russians don't eat meat. But usually tortoises that originate in rain forest type areas DO eat meat.

Mine doesn’t seem to like worms to much. I gave her one before and she never touched it, she just ate the leaves around it

Mine live outdoors and I dont think it's much of a coincidence that I never see any insects in their enclosure.

Mine turns into the Apex predator of the yard when he spots a worm.
