If it were me I'd get him outta there and into a closed chamber asap. There's no way to hold heat or humidity in the tortoise tables.

You'd probably be better off getting a storage tote with a lid and modifying by cutting it holes for your light and heat source. These are very cheap and easily made into closed chambers.526d0481-d2fd-4235-b94b-b9a070f4d231_1.4db7ff4b0c18697074d6b892e8916dd8.jpeg

Will the plexiglass work for now?
Honestly, I'm not sure. I don't think I've ever recalled seeing someone raise a nice smooth tortoise in one though. I'm sure it's possible but it's going to take a lot of modification.

If it were me I'd get the tote which will cost you about $10.

A Radiant heat panel $65 (got mine from @Kapidolo Farms )large.jpeg

And a tube uvb light for about $35Screenshot_20200318-165930.png

All you would have to do is screw the radiant heat panel and uvb into the lid and add some substrate, a hide, etc. For about a $100 you would have a suitable enclosure that holds heat and humidity and would last at least a year.

Cool. I’m getting a ho t5 tube light next week when the order comes in and I’ll have a hygrometer, so hopefully things work out.??

How long do you think mine would last with the plexiglass, uvb, everything?

I don't keep leopards so I can't give you an accurate answer to that.

I think so... but not very safe. Plexiglass gets hot and has splinters that might get in there... also (from experience) your little one will grow big and can break the plexiglass.
But while he is small yes I think it will be fine.. but make sure his temps are right. Do right by him (from experience) I can tell you one thing....
If mine was a little baby again I would’ve changed everything I had done. Remember while he is young YOU can prevent Mbd , and LOTS of other shell problems and disfigurements or illnesses.. it’s all in YOUR hands how he will in the long run be affected... Not trying to bust your chops but I just want your little boy to grow up and be healthy...! I wish I had this forum when I got mine along time ago....?
Please take care. Both of you!

VERY important for baby Leopards to have high humidity, daily soaks and good tubular UVB lighting as well as good food?.
