I couldn't live in a hot country, but I suppose I'd be used to it if I'd been born in one. Air conditioning is rare in UK homes, but portable units are more available now, because of demand thanks to climate change. My house is quite cool and a fan keeps cool air moving so it's not too bad indoors. I walked to the shops earlier before it got too hot!! Hopefully we'll be back to normal by Sunday.

Bath is a beautiful place. Often used for historical film locations. I used to go regularly on the train for shopping trips and to enjoy the touristy bits but not been for a while. It's only about 33 miles from Stonehenge too, but sad to say I've never been there - it's on my bucket list.
Zola has,of course, been to Stonehenge - and met a great many foreign tourists there ! We had been visiting my friend who lived fairly near there, and as Richard grew up in Canada, he hadn't seen it - I went as a child, when there were hardly any people around, and you could actually touch the stones ! It is more protected now.

My nephew and his wife who are currently living in California have been there. He has less than a year left out there working with the US Air Force and then they have to come back and he'll continue working in the RAF. They are trying to see as much of the country as possible
I'm feeling very shaky today, and my head is pretty sore, but not so much of the actual "internal" pain as there has been recently - it takes a while to settle down, anyway. I don't expect miracles, but it would be so lovely not to have a headache at all - even a little one ! I get very frustrated about not being able to do things
I used to never use air conditioning. I actually don't like using it but now I have to. The house I live in is unbearable if you don't. I didn't even use air conditioning in Florida when I lived there. Maybe it is climate change.
Poor you. I wish you could get where you don't have them at all. My brother went through migraines for years. Now he gets the ocular symptoms for about 20 minutes and then they go away. He's been taking magnesium. That's what his doctor suggested might help.
I am from Siberia. And it's really funny that Texans believe that Siberians love cold. No, we don't. We hate cold. We don't spend a lot of time outside during winter time. We are indoor people. And it's hot indoors. We wear very warm clothes(usually layers) if we go outside. We don't eat snow. We don't drink anything from a fridge (we get sick right away). We melt ice cream so it's not cold

I hadn't heard about magnesium for headaches before - I got some today, and reading through the blurb in the packet, it sounds like it could be good for all sorts of things. We do both have a multivitamin tablet every day, but I'm not sure if it has magnesium in it. Worth a try, anyway. Thanks for suggesting it, Cathie.Poor you. Dear Jeff - I would love to have more information -thank you very much. I have 35 Botox injections in my head every 12 weeks, and some sort of anaethetic injected on either side of the back of my neck alternating with the Botox - I don't know if this would clash with the chiropractic treatment, though !
I'll ask my brother what his dosage is. His migraines used to be so bad that they would paralyze him. Now he doesn't have pain. Just the ocular stuff that signified one was about to happen. He only had about 20 minutes to get somewhere safe. I hope it works for you. I think it took a while taking the dose recommended but it seemed to have worked.
I used to have the center of physical rehabilitation. I worked with the great doctors who were really professional. You wouldn't believe how many patients we had with migraines. And the neck problems caused the migraine in 91%. We don't pay attention to our neck but it's crucial for delivering the blood to our brain. Usually our neck muscles are stiff, we keep the neck in a same position for hours etc. Chiropractor can help to stretch the neck muscles in a safe way. Acupuncture is another option. But it needs to be done by professional only.
