Godzilla the Tortoise
Member
Hi everyone,
I’m posting this with a very heavy heart. Come next week I’m moving to Italy for a three years. And I don't think that living inside a tiny apartment building would be good for my tortoise, and in addition, the regulations surrounding CITES species would make it very hard to bring him with me.
His name is Godzilla, and he’s a 2-year-old Dalmatian Hermann’s tortoise. He’s very healthy, active, and curious, and I have loved taking care of him. He has bright eyes and I love his patterns. He likes to spend his days exploring, basking, eating, and bulldozing everything in his path. I have raised him on a diet of dandelion, broadleaf greens, endive, romaine, other garden weeds, and mazuri tortoise food.
I’m in a major time crunch. My original plan was to send him back to Garden State Tortoise, where I got him, and I reached out to arrange that. Chris said that he would take him in, but hasn't finalized details, despite attempts to get in touch. I know he is very busy, and is sure to have a backlogged email, but with my flight coming up next friday, I really can't afford to wait much longer. Once I leave, Godzilla would be left with my mom, who doesn't really have experience caring for tortoises, so I want to make sure he finds a proper home before then.
Because of that, I’m trying to find Godzilla a safe, experienced home before I leave. This is a last ditch effort, and I wan't to make sure Godzilla goes to the best hime possible.

Thank you so much.
