2 floor.......sorry about the pictures

I wrote a post and attached 5 pictures an hour ago, but I don't know why it is not showing up. Perhaps I should do it again? Or does it take longer when you attach pictures?

2 floor Russian enclosure finished (take 2)

Sorry about that. I can't seem to add pictures within the post so will try them as attachments.

I built a 5'10" x 3' enclosure for Oakley. I built a ramp that goes up to top turns right and to a hide/tunnel. The structure was built on top of an old dresser with ply wood and then covered with panelling. I put up a little fence going up the 10" wide ramp so Oakley wouldn't fall off. I am able (with 3 diff. lamps) to have a temp range of 95 on one end (including uva-uvb) to 65 at the other end where her main hide is. She has been in her new home 4 days now and goes over every inch of it several times each day. She especially seems to like going up the ramp.

You are already able to attach the pictures in your other thread in the introduction section. I've seen your enclosure there and it's beautiful and gives space for Oakley to roam.

Hi Nimbledoe:

Once you've got your pictures in either photobucket.com or tinypic.com, then you "copy" the

Think her other thread was in the Russian section. Very nice enclosure. Does the ramp and "2nd level" go somewhere or just an upper area?

Bad thing is that I have tried & tried to do another 'attachment' and it just never goes through. I was hoping to post the start and progress of building it. I even signed up for photobucket and tried to follow post on how to use it. My pictures never have the img code. I add the attachments, check 'post' and nothing happens.

No the ramp just ends. It goes up length end and then turns left to the end. It is about 5 ft long and 3 1/2 ft. cross. Oakiey seems to love going up it. I will find her up there 2 - 4 times a day.

Do you have an iPhone or iPad? I use photobucket been using it for almost 10 years now, personally it changed and got harder to use lol. But the app I now use works great I can upload pictures really quick from phone to photobucket to here. The image code is usually the last one of the 4-5 listed links. Here is your enclosure. I just use photobucket to post these. Here ya go. Send me a pm if you need help with photobucket, once you get it it's easy.

That's a cool setup. That gives me an idea when I convert my carport into a huge indoor enclosure with heated floors! I can actually make 2 levels. Thanks.

Hopefully, with Millerlite's help here are the pictures of the making of my Russian's habitat. (thanks again M for your directions on how to get the pictures in posts)

I used an old dresser for the base, turning it around. When the plywood structure was finished, I covered it all with panneling. I put bamboo blinds on the walls above to kinda finish it off. I have indoor/outdoor carpet on the ramp and found those small fence posts so Oakley does not fall off. With the different lighting I can keep it 95 on one end to 65 on the other. which she goes into her hide around 6pm.

Please forgive any repeat information, i just have had a hard time posting the pictures and when they did not take, I'm having a hard time remembering what I have or have not sharred. Thank you all for your patience

Did you notice if your tortoise is happier in his new larger enclosure?

I did not know what her other homelife was like. A friend of a friend new a person was going to get rid of his tortoise and she knew I had been looking for one. But she, Oakley, seems to really love the space. She will walk around for a couple of hours or more. She goes up the ramp 2 -3 times a day that I know of. Of course to get her use to it all I have put food at the top of the ramp and 3 other places. She now just makes her rounds. She never goes into a corner to scratch or dig, she seems to just enjoy walking and looking for food. She'll also go into her water dish and just sit there for 5 to 10 minutes. I see her drink there as well. When she's tired (?) she will go into her hide middle of the day for 1 - 2 hours.
