Hi everyone,

I've been a huge fan of this site for years but have been too shy to post pics! I snapped a bunch yesterday and thought I'd share a few.

Happy New Year!

Mike

Happy New Year Mike. They are pretty! How big are they?

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

They're now between 10.5"-15.5"

I have hundreds of photos taken over the years. I've picked some to show their various stages of development.

Thank you Mike for adding more pictures. They are very beautiful.

I hope you have male and several females with the herds. Is there any planning to breed them eventually? :)

Those shells could give an epileptic a seizure. Amazing looking animals.

I assume you're breeding them?

You're very welcome and I'm glad you're enjoying the pics!

Yes, we're very fortunate to have a large group of males and females. We haven't had luck breeding them yet but we've been successful with other species, so fingers crossed!

wow, really beautiful. what would you say some of your significant challenges have been in raising this particular species?

Thanks!

Overall, we've found rads to be very hardy and extremely personable. They're truly amazing animals! The only challenge that comes to mind is their size, as they get quite large.
