Recently I got 2 zombensis torts, both going well. One is large now, even after about 2 weeks I can see how the bugger is growing. (Sunny) (Her weight has gone from 50g to 75g)20211016_172547.jpg

My problem lies with the smaller one (Luna). 20211017_202812.jpg She has a URTI, she was on 5 doses of baytril, which had ended almost a week ago. She isn't getting much better, she almost arched, doing better not breathing with mouth slightly open or coughing. Until about 3 days ago, it had returned. She is being soaked in carrot baby food and she is in warmer temps. I am scared she isn't eating as much (she weighed about 35g and now 50g)
I am almost going to place the bigger one in an outside habitat in the day, but with cold fronts coming over here, I don't want to risk anything. Any advice on helping Luna?

Are you housing them together?

No, not anymore, after Sunny showed dominance
She may start to eat more now they have been separated and they will be happier.
Antibiotics can affect appetite and from what I've read Baytril isn't the best choice of meds for torts but as it's finished that's not helpful now.
Can you post a picture of the enclosure and tell us what lamps you have and what the temps are?
I'll tag @zovick to see if he can help.

I've just looked up your species and see it's a hingeback, so you may find a caresheet in these threads

I have responded to this person's requests for help on his/her other thread posted a week or so ago:

@TheLastGreen My advice is still the same. If the RI is still present after the inadvisable and ineffective 5 doses of Baytril. You should treat it with 5-6 doses of ceftazidime which should be given every other day. This regimen results in treating the animal for 10-12 days rather than 5.
