I recently got a baby African sulcata and I have read so much research I overwhelmed myself. This morning I noticed Monte (Montezuma) has a dark moth or ring around his mouth. I did read a thread on here about the tortoise eating poop. But I didn’t see if that was healthy? Also I been feeding him romaine lettuce, some carrots, and hibiscus leaves. But he’s picky only been eating the lettuce. Also I need help in the enclosure. I have him in a terrarium with the night light(red). I’m going to shop for my stuff for him tomorrow. I have him in that bunny stuff for the bedding the lady at the reptile store said that is a good bedding since if they were to eat it, it is digestible but I’m thinking of changing it to bark and keeping it humid by spraying water. He is inside at the moment. I live in the AZ weather so maybe I can move him outside until the weather goes down and then bring him inside. Help this newbie tortoise mother.
