an extra scute!

I've had Medea since 1996. She's a female Manouria emys phayrei that I got from a fellow in New York who was keeping her in an 4'x8' box in an apartment. She weighs 60lbs. In all that time, 16 years, yesterday was the first time I ever noticed that she has an extra dorsal scute:

Personally, I would rather wait for her youngsters... Geesh, there are some extra scutes animals I do leave alone.
