I have literally had lil Teddy for under a week still so she and I are both still adjusting to things, but I have a few questions.
She has been sleeping pretty much nonstop since she came home. I wake her up for soaks (30 minutes once a day with water around 85-90), she eats a bit and explores for a few minutes and makes her way back to her nice warm humid hide (temps around 88-95 and humidity ranging from 75-95). Her lack of activity isn't worrying me too much just cause she's still a tiny baby and also she is still adjusting and all. My question is though, when I first wake her up to soak she is rubbing her eyes a bit. It's not excessive, but it is every time. I have also observed her rub them a bit when she's doing her after dinner exploring.
I have her on damp peat moss (bought from Home Depot, but it was organic and does not appear to have any extra chemicals or anything) and her hide has damp sphagnum moss (bought from pet store). I didn't rinse anything before putting it in, just dampened it. I keep the peat moss pretty damp so there isn't any apparent loose dirt or anything. The bulbs should be fine too. I use a 100w CHE (on a thermostat that has been keeping the enclosure in the 90s 24/7), a 75w basking bulb that keeps the basking area around 98-105 and an infrared basking bulb over humid hide. No coil bulbs or anything. Here are some photos of her eyes, do they look swollen? (Sorry there not the best)
The second thing is less of a concern and more of a confirmation on what I am seeing. Could these white marks be new growth already???
And she was only on the paper towel because she was just out of her soak. And yes, I was spoon feeding her. Lol just a little 'hand feeding' bonding time
