These are my little tortoises. Too small for identifying?

They both are female looking at the moment, but I don't feel comfortable at their size to say that 100%, as they all look female as hatchlings and most of us who have had torts have experienced our torts tricking us :) what is their scl? Usually with Hermanns, you can have a better chance of determining sex after four+ inches

I would agree - they look female to me too. They are probably too small to be completely sure, but I'm leaning towards female. :)

How long have you had the torts? Where did you acquire them from? I only ask because they appear a bit dehydrated to me in this picture....are you soaking them each and every day for at least 30 minutes in a warm water soak? Do you spray their food with water when offering?

I think it's still to early my friend. Another year or so and I think the sex will start becoming more apparent. If I absolutely HAD to guess I would guess the larger is a young male and the younger a female. But don't take that to heart. I have a trio of young hermanns but I'm not an expert on sexing them.

I agree though that they are starting to pyramid. I would get a higher moisture substrate that they can burrow into and mist them twice a day along with a warm morning soak. It'll help the new growth come in nice and smooth.

Their shells should look like this at that age if keep with proper moistureImageUploadedByTortForum1393089562.170851.jpg

They hate having baths because they just scratch at the sides and poo in the water! And how can I make it moister for them?! X

Whether they hate it or not it's good for them. The water should be slighty warm and they should soak for at least 10-20 minutes. Pooing in the water is normal and keeps them "regular" .

What substrate are you using for them?

I use spaghnum peat moss mixed with sand and topped with cypress mulch. I keep it moist to the touch at all times. When their shells dry out it can lead to pyramiding which yours either experienced before you got them or during your car. It's mainly a cosmetic issue but it's always good to have nice smooth shells.

No it doesn't smell. At least not that I've noticed.

Very cute! Beautiful little torts.
But still too young to determine gender.
