bark as substrate

I've heard bark is good too.
but will that hard to clean poop,and will it get mold easily?

Going from ick to uber ick....:D (again, my opinion) the bark just seems hard and crunchy and difficult to walk across smoothly along with does not provide ability for the tort to "dig in" but rather lumpy dumpy....and the reptile carpet can be chewed on and the stringy pieces ingested....not something I would ever want to expose a tortoise to...

Now, please remember I am in no way attempting to tell you my opinion is what you have to agree with...but rather just to share for additional food for thought is all....:D

Many of us use orchid bark. It is actually mulched fir bark and it works great. It does not mold and poop clean up is the same as it is for any other substrate.
