I was told to buy 100w basking bulb for my enclosure but beneath it the temp measured 120f that will cook my Greek. Will a 75w do or should I buy a 50w?

I would try the 75 first. Raise it higher or lower to get the temp you want.

I would try to raise it up higher like the previous tort lovers said. If it doesn't work go to a smaller wattage bulb.

I agree with all of the above.
I sometimes have to raise or lower mine, depending on the ambient temperature.

I have rheostats on my heat bulbs so I can adjust as needed.
