hi, i was just wondering if her beak was too long. it costs $40 for a trim at the vet so i was wondering if there was an at-home way that isn't stressful.

i know her beak is on the long side already, so i plan on going to a vet soon anyway! thank you ☺️

Aw bless you I see you’re already wanting to address the beak, I think she looks like she could do with a bit of a trim yes, it’s not the worst I’ve come across🙂
I’ve read some people very CAREFULLY trim slightly with a nail clipper and file with a nail file, but tbh yours is at a slightly tricky ‘inbetween’ length, where its long enough that it could do trimming back, but not so long that it’s going to need a drastic amount doing to it, you may find this hard to do at home so if you aren’t confident I’d probably recommend the vet do it👍

If you aren’t already, feeding on slate should hopefully help moving forward😊
