I actually posted my hillbilly setup just for you, I know you like it. I put the light on her and we all went out to dinner for my moms 90th birthday
and had eggs when we got home. Mom was pretty excited bigred laid eggs on her birthday:D

Happy b-day to your mom and hopefully 7 eventual RF's! What kind of temps are there in your area now? High/low and also sunrise and sunset? I'm trying to get an idea for my females laying season since Late July was her first real clutch. Thanks!

temps right now are about 70 to 75 high and about 50 low, it will be getting colder soon. Sunrise and sunset about 6 am and 6 pm. My redfoots usually start laying aroung october and lay for about 9 months. What state are you located in

Hawaii. Our highs are warmer than that as are our lows currently. I'm just trying to figure out what my female's "season" might be since she is a younger adult that just started laying in July '13. I knew that you were in California so I figured that Cali and Florida would be the two closest states to Hawaii in terms of weather.

You might have to let 2 or 3 years of laying go by to get her season figured out

Thanks, I was hoping that it'd be easier than that but I suppose that is the surest way to get a good handle on her laying season.
