I have a young box turtle only a few inches long and its tail had disappeared and in its place is a big postule or puss sack type thing. It's really soft and I dont know what to do where I live there's really no vets that treat turtles so that's not really an option. She's still pooping and eating so that's good. Has anyone seen this before? If so what happened?

Need a pic. Most likely prolapse.

This is a serious condition called prolapse. If you don't get it taken care of, the turtle's life is in danger.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like the turtle is deformed, maybe from not having the correct care for his species.

Until you can find someone to take care of the prolapse, keep the turtle in a bowl with a little water to keep the prolapsed organ from drying out. If it dries out, it dies.

That's called a prolapse and your Tortoise needs to go to a Vet asap.
