Hi I have an African pancake tortoise named Kai and he’s 10 months old and I was thinking of getting calcium powder which would be best? Also I was looking for plants to feed him that I could grow in Connecticut. Thx

I prefer Rep Cal calcium.

To grow your own food, I like the "testudo seed mix" from torotisesupply.com. It grows easily in pots or plots, and you can harvest it many times over the growing season.

You can also buy weed seeds from many online sources. Mallow, sow thistle, broadleaf and narrow leaf plantain, bristly ox tongue, prickly lettuce, dandelions, etc... Also look for mulberry leaves as we move into spring.

I use ground eggshells It costs nothing I know what's in it and its more than likely what they eat in the wild

Not sure about the middle one but top and bottom pics look good. Hibiscus is a shrub so growing from seed will take for ages instead search " hardy hibiscus" and assuming you have a plot buy 1 or 2 bare root plants (sticks at this time of year) which will last years and provide you flowers in your garden during the summer.
