KIMG3615~2.JPGThis type of chair must be rare in the United States. I only know of 3 and I've seen those in person. My problem is I don't know what they are called. What we have called them doesn't get any results on the Internet. The first one I ever saw belonged to belong my Great Grandmother and family members said it was a hand me down from her mother. My sister still has it. Maybe they are more common in other parts of the world. Hopefully someone else has one and knows the correct name.

It looks like an Italian Savonarola chair. Maybe.

It might be considered a curule chair. My brief googling always went back to that.
